Frequently Asked Questions
Can I check in early?
Unfortunately, early check-ins are not possible because our cleaners need sufficient time to prepare the apartment for you.
Can I check out late?
Our cleaners start cleaning the apartment at 11 am, so check-out after 11 am is not feasible. If you’d like to use the apartment beyond 11 am, consider booking an extra day.
Can I check in after 10 pm?
Yes, late check-ins are possible.
Can you store my luggage?
We do not have on-site luggage storage facilities and therefore can’t store luggage.
However, you can book luggage storage through Nannybag.
Alternatively, major train stations like Hauptbahnhof, Ostbahnhof, and Alexanderplatz offer luggage lockers. Alexanderplatz is convenient and close to our apartments, allowing you to explore nearby attractions like Museum Island, Berlin Dom, and Hackesche Höfe. The mall “Alexa” offers ample opportunity for shopping.
What is the Berlin City Tax or Tourist Tax and why do I need to pay it?
The Berlin City Tax, also known as the Tourist Tax, is a mandatory fee imposed by the city on visitors staying in Berlin hotels, hostels, or vacation rentals. Here’s why guests need to pay it:
Purpose
The tax helps fund city services, infrastructure, and cultural initiatives.
It contributes to maintaining Berlin’s vibrant atmosphere and amenities that benefit both residents and tourists.
Calculation
The tax is a percentage of the accommodation cost (e.g., 7.5% of the room rate).
Payment
Guests pay the tax directly to the accommodation provider.
