Where to stay near the Fedorov Restore Vision Clinic

Where the clinic is

The Fedorov Restore Vision Clinic is a private practice at Prenzlauer Allee 90, 10409 Berlin, in the Ärztehaus next to the S-Bahn station Prenzlauer Allee. According to the clinic's own website, it provides non-invasive electrical stimulation therapy for vision loss caused by optic nerve damage, retinal disease and amblyopia.

That is as far as we can usefully go. We are not medically qualified and we do not know whether the treatment is right for you. The clinic's own site explains what they do.

How close our apartments are

Five of our apartments are within walking distance of the clinic, the closest about 450 metres away.

• Dunckerstraße 33 (D1, D2) — about 450 m, 5–8 minutes
• Grellstraße 34 (GG, GS, G3) — about 850 m, 11–15 minutes
• Wichertstraße 68 (WI) — about 1 km, 13–18 minutes, or one stop on the S-Bahn Ring

Distances are walking routes on the pedestrian network, checked in August 2026 and rounded up. Our Friedrichshain apartments are about 3.5 km away and we would not call those walkable.

Getting in and out — no stairs, but not step-free

All of our apartments are on the ground floor. There are no stairs to climb to reach any of them, and no stairwell to find in the dark.

There is a raised threshold or a step at every building entrance, so we would not describe any of them as step-free, and we will not call them wheelchair accessible.

We say this plainly because many of the clinic's patients have impaired vision, and a step you are not expecting is not a small detail. Tell us what you need and we will tell you honestly whether a flat suits — including when the answer is that it does not.

Why some patients choose an apartment

A kitchen. A course of treatment usually means more than a few days in Berlin. Every apartment has a full kitchen, so you are not eating out for every meal.

A whole flat to yourself. Self-contained, with its own front door. No reception, no corridors, no housekeeping coming in.

Quiet streets. These are residential buildings, not tourist or nightlife areas. We do not take party bookings.

Room for someone with you. Several flats sleep three or four, so a partner or family member can come along.

Getting to the clinic

The clinic publishes its own directions, including from the airport and from Hauptbahnhof, on its website. From our Dunckerstraße and Grellstraße flats it is a short walk; from Wichertstraße it is a walk or one stop on the S-Bahn Ring.
